       hijab Generally refers to covering, but is often used to refer to a Muslim woman's hijab. hijab comes in a variety of styles and colors, and is relatively common throughout the world. In the West, the hijab most used by Muslim women generally covers only the hair, ears, and neck, but the face is bare.

 

 

niqab is a veil that covers almost the entire face, leaving only the eyes. However, a separate blindfold can also be added. The niqab is worn along with a matching headscarf, and often with a long black burka, more common in North Africa and the Middle East.

 

 

 

The burka is the most tightly wrapped burqa, a masked, hooded piece of clothing that covers the face and body from head to toe, usually with only a grid-like window in the eye area. The burqa is commonly found in Afghanistan and Pakistan.

 

 

The al amira is in two parts, a small hat that wraps tightly around the head, usually made of cotton or a blend, and a tube scarf on the outside. The amira reveals the face, goes over the shoulders, and covers part of the front chest. The colors and styles are more casual, mostly found in the Arabian Gulf countries

 

Shayla is a rectangular scarf that is wrapped around the head and falls over the shoulders to be enclosed or pinned. Shayla is more casual in color and wear, and can reveal part of the hair and neck, and is mostly seen in overseas countries.

The khimal is like a cloak, waist-length, completely covering the hair, neck, and shoulders, but leaving the face bare. In traditionally Muslim areas of China, many women wear the himal.
