Time and space are intertwined in the hall of art

Walking into the silk scarf show, it is as if you have traveled through time and space, stepping into a temple of art that combines Baroque architecture and French classicism.

In order to echo the 2024 Paris Olympics, the design of the pavilion skillfully draws inspiration from the romantic French designers of the early 17th century and subtly simplifies it with modern elements. The overall concept not only pays homage to the host city of this year's Olympics, but also embodies the perfect fusion of Chinese and Western cultures.

The most striking feature is the 3,000 hollowed-out "Chinese knots" carved on the exterior wall of the pavilion. This design element skillfully blends traditional Chinese cultural symbols with the romantic atmosphere of Paris. The beauty of the Chinese knot's weaving symbolizes the softness and elegance of silk, while its sturdy structure signifies the strength and toughness of sports, perfectly illustrating the fusion of the Olympic spirit and Chinese silk culture.

Silk Weaving Olympic Legends The exhibition site brings together precious commemorative silk scarves from the first modern Olympic Games in Athens in 1896 to the Winter Olympics in Beijing in 2022. Each silk scarf carries the strong characteristics of the era, recording the important moments and wonderful stories of the Olympic Games

Most of the silk scarves on display were provided by Hou Kun, a member of the IOC's Cultural and Olympic Legacy Commission, and Wu Jingyu, the taekwondo Olympic champion couple. Regarding his collection, Hou Kun said, "These silk scarves are not only works of art, but also witnesses to history. Through these soft silk scarves, we can feel the continuation of the Olympic spirit and mankind's unremitting efforts to pursue excellence.

"We have carefully selected 50 of the most iconic silk scarves, each of which holds a unique story. For example, the 1904 U.S. St. Louis Olympic Games commemorative silk scarf, which is the first time in history, the silk scarf in such a form to commemorate the Olympic Games; the 1940 Helsinki Olympic Games in Finland, although it was not held, but the commemorative silk scarf was released, which is out of print; and then in 1984, the commemorative silk scarf for the first gold of the Olympic Games in New China, as well as the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games commemorative designed and produced by Masterpiece Silk scarves, etc. are all very precious and especially worth seeing." Li Jianhua, curator of the exhibition and chairman of Marvelous Silk, said, "People can read the history of the development of the Olympic Games from scratch and from small to big on these small silk scarves, and feel the importance of Chinese silk in the long history of the world's development."

AI empowered, enjoy the Olympics It is worth mentioning that in order to better immerse the audience in the Olympic cultural experience, the exhibition has also specially designed a number of punch card fun interactive activities. For example, the Centennial Olympics "Sharing Punch Card", Fuwa Chapter Collection, and the Centennial Olympics "Twelve Hours" not only add to the fun of the exhibition, but also allow the audience to gain a deeper understanding of the history of the Olympics and feel the spirit of the Olympics.

In addition, in preparation for the Paris Olympics, the exhibition also launched a special AI silk scarf customization app. While viewing the exhibition, you can also use the app to create your own personalized "Impression of Paris" themed silk scarf through graffiti and seal engraving.

"Our AI design system integrates over 300 algorithms and has a database of 500,000+ flower patterns. Through big data analysis, we have also achieved accurate coloring, with a dyeing rate of more than 99%, and the entire production process is green and pollution-free." Li Jianhua introduced.

The exhibition will last until August 12, covering the entire time of the Paris Olympics. During the period, there will also be mysterious Olympic champions visit from time to time, and fans to have a face-to-face close interaction.
